General Terms and Conditions

The accommodation contract is bindingly concluded by a written or verbal room reservation, which is confirmed by us. The purpose of the contract is the rental of hotel rooms for accommodation purposes. Subletting or re-letting of the rooms provided is not permitted.

Provision of booked rooms
Booked rooms are available to the guest from 12:00 noon on the day of arrival and are kept free until 6:00 pm. If the guest does not show up by this time, we reserve the right to rent the room to someone else. The guest can arrange a later arrival by stating the time. The room will then be kept free until the agreed time. A credit card is required as a guarantee. For check-in, please contact us by phone or e-mail on the day of arrival, as our reception is not always staffed.

On the day of departure, the room must be vacated by the guest by 12:00 noon. If the room is vacated late, we are entitled to charge €10 per hour or part thereof, and 100% of the room price after 3:00 pm.

We endeavor to take the wishes of our customers into account as far as possible. However, there is no entitlement to the provision of a specific room. If, for example, a particular room is not available as planned because another guest is extending their stay, the guest can be rented another room as promised.

Prices and payment

Prices are based on the current daily rate. Prices that are confirmed by us less than 90 days before departure are binding. If the reservation is made more than 90 days before arrival, the price may change, e.g. due to fluctuating market conditions.

The statutory VAT is included in the prices. Should the legislator change the VAT rate, the room price may be adjusted accordingly. Payment of the accommodation price is usually made on site on departure in cash, by girocard or with a credit card accepted by us. Companies can pay by bank transfer after an invoice has been sent, provided that the costs have been declared in good time. We reserve the right to request partial or full payment in advance.

If special prices have been agreed, these will be paid either in advance or on departure in cash or by girocard. In this case, payment by credit card is only possible for an additional charge. In the case of long-term stays, payment is made weekly in cash or monthly in advance.

Withdrawal from the contract by the hotel

The following circumstances entitle us to withdraw from the contract without the guest being able to claim compensation:

• Force majeure or other circumstances for which we are not responsible and which make fulfillment of the contract impossible.

• The guest books under misleading or false statements of material facts, e.g. concerning his person or the purpose of the room rental.

• There is reason to believe that the smooth running of the business or the safety of the hotel or other guests could be jeopardized.

Withdrawal from the contract by the customer – Cancellation

Unless otherwise agreed, the following scale is legally binding:

Cancellation free of charge up to 30 days before arrival.

up to 14 days before arrival 50% cancellation fee

up to 7 days before arrival 70% cancellation fee

If the guest cancels later or does not cancel at all, cancellation fees will be charged.
If the guest departs before the end of the booked stay, cancellation fees will be charged for the entire unused nights.

Cancellation costs

The payment of cancellation costs arises from the legal obligation of the guest to pay the price for the room held ready, unless the room has been properly canceled. The amount is calculated from the room price minus the expenses saved for all nights on which the room cannot be rented to another party. If the room is re-let at a lower price, the difference may be charged. The following rates apply

• Bed and breakfast: 100 % of the room rate for the booked period.

Smoking

Our rooms are non-smoking rooms. Smokers are requested to smoke outside the door, where an ashtray is available. If the non-smoking rule is disregarded and smoking takes place in the room, a special cleaning fee of 150.00 euros will be charged.

Taking pets with you

The bringing of a pet must be agreed with us in advance. We reserve the right to refuse to accept pets.
If we have given our consent, a corresponding daily flat rate of €25 must be paid. This does not include the provision of a special place to sleep or food for the animal. Blankets and similar items as well as food for the animal must be brought by the guest.
The guest is liable for any damage caused by the animal.

Items brought along

No liability is accepted for items brought into the hotel. Personal belongings left in the room by the guest after departure will be kept by us for four weeks and forwarded at the guest’s request and expense. If the guest does not contact us within the storage period, the items will no longer be stored; valuables will be handed over to the local lost and found office.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the date of conclusion of the contract.

To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us (Hotel Fetsch, Einsteinstraße 13 68519 Viernheim, 0176 30560969, dogus-arslan@hotmail.de) of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You can use the attached sample withdrawal form, but this is not mandatory.

You can fill out the sample withdrawal form or another clear declaration electronically and send it by e-mail. If you make use of this option, we will immediately send you a confirmation of receipt of such a revocation (e.g. by e-mail).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notification of exercising your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of revocation

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. For this repayment, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; under no circumstances will you be charged any fees for this repayment.

If you have requested that the services should commence during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided up to the time at which you inform us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal with regard to this contract compared to the total scope of the services provided for in the contract.
